I honestly can’t believe that we’re already halfway through March! Seriously, where does the time go? Well, my time has gone towards several birthdays this month, and it’s been a very busy but very enjoyable couple of weeks. One of the birthdays observed this month has been my own (my 30th, if we’re counting… but who’s counting?)
This birthday made me feel exceptionally loved — everyone in my life truly rose to the occasion, and treated me to a slap-bang celebration, complete with an apartment full of balloons (all thanks to the ingenuity and lung-power of my lovely roommate!), birthday-eve pancakes for dinner, birthday breakfast at Eclipse (please go, if you haven’t yet, and you won’t regret ordering the chocolate croissant with lavender sea salt or the vanilla-bean infused orange juice…or anything else, really…), afternoon-lounging-on-the-couch-in-pajamas, dinner at Starlite with friends old and new, and a Drag Queen Gospel brunch at Lips (which promises to be the “Best in Drag Dining”, and doesn’t disappoint!), not to mention cards galore, an amazing care package, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered to my door!
Birthdays are so awesome.
I felt very lucky to be asked to take part in another birthday this month — a sweet 16 party for a very sweet, stylish and super-cool 16-year-old (awesome blog here)! She wanted all red flowers and compact, clean lines, and hopefully my arrangements were up to snuff! Here are some of them, packed for transportation
I’m over-the-moon about announcing an upcoming event taking place this coming Saturday March 22 — the South Park Springtime Walkabout!
I’ll be stationed in The Grove at Juniper & 30th, with flowers in tow! I’ll have an abundance of wearable flowers (crowns, corsages, fascinators, even some boutonnieres!) as well as small nosegays for sale. I hope you’ll come on down and join in what promises to be a delightful evening! Looking forward to seeing you there, and to reporting back on here afterward….
As tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day, here’s one of my favorite Irish ditties to help us all say a rollicking farewell to the weekend…
